Volkswagen has revealed the new ID. Cross, an all-electric compact SUV available with three power outputs: 85 kW (116 PS), 99 kW (135 PS) and 155 kW (211 PS). Buyers can choose between 37 kWh and 52 kWh battery packs, with the latter offering a WLTP range of up to 265 miles. DC fast charging from 10-80% takes around 23 minutes for the 37 kWh battery and around 24 minutes for the 52 kWh version.
The ID. Cross measures 4,153 mm long and offers seating for five, with a 475-litre boot and an additional 25-litre front storage compartment. Models with the larger battery can tow up to 1,200 kg and include vehicle-to-load functionality with up to 3.6 kW power output.
Technology includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, optional Connected Travel Assist with traffic light recognition, One Pedal Driving, 360-degree camera, remote Park Assist Pro, and an adaptive DCC suspension on the 155 kW model. Optional equipment includes Harman Kardon audio, massage front seats and a panoramic roof.
The ID. Cross is available to order now in Germany, where prices start from €27,995 for the entry-level Trend model and €36,525 for the 155 kW Life and Style variants. UK pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed.
