• BMW has revealed the All-New iX3, the first production model from its Neue Klasse line-up. It debuts sixth-generation eDrive tech with cylindrical-cell batteries, 800-volt architecture, and 400 kW charging, allowing up to 231 miles of range in 10 minutes. With a maximum range of 500 miles (WLTP), it will be the longest-range EV on sale in the UK at launch.

The iX3 also introduces BMW’s new digital “superbrain” architecture, including the Heart of Joy system that manages driving dynamics and enables 98% of braking through regeneration. Inside, it features the Panoramic iDrive with a windscreen-wide display, minimalist design, and sustainable Econeer materials.

Built at BMW’s new fossil-free plant in Debrecen, Hungary, the iX3 has more than 30% lower lifecycle CO2 emissions than its predecessor. It will be offered in three trims – iX3, M Sport, and M Sport Pro – with UK deliveries starting 7 March 2026, priced from £58,755.

  • Polestar has officially launched the Polestar 5, a four-door electric Grand Tourer derived from the Precept concept. It sits on a new bonded aluminium platform and uses an 800V electrical system paired with in-house developed motors.

Two versions are available: the Dual Motor Launch Edition produces 550kW and 812Nm, with 0–60mph in 3.8 seconds and a range of 416 miles (WLTP). The Performance Launch Edition raises output to 650kW and 1,015Nm, hitting 0–60mph in 3.1 seconds and driving up to 351 miles per charge. Both are limited to 155mph and support 350kW rapid charging, allowing 10–80% top-ups in just 22 minutes.

The Polestar 5 keeps much of the Precept’s design, with a low aerodynamic profile, frameless glass, and a Cd of just 0.24. Inside, it offers a 4+1 seating layout, sustainable materials such as flax composites and recycled plastics, and a large 14.5-inch Google-powered infotainment system. Options include Bowers & Wilkins 21-speaker audio, Recaro-designed seats, and the brand’s largest panoramic glass roof to date.

Advanced driver assistance includes Pilot Assist, 360° cameras, and interior radars that adjust airbags based on occupant position. Brembo brakes, bespoke Michelin tyres, and adaptive MagneRide dampers on the Performance model underline its GT focus.

The Polestar 5 Dual Motor Launch Edition starts at £89,500, while the Performance Launch Edition is priced from £104,900. Orders are open now.

  • Renault has unveiled the sixth-generation Clio, bringing a bold new look, upgraded hybrid powertrains, and more advanced tech than ever before. The latest Clio takes inspiration from the brand’s Latin design roots, with a sculpted silhouette and strong road presence, while inside it gains a high-tech cabin with the OpenR Link multimedia system (with Google built-in) and up to 29 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Power comes from two new UK options: a 1.8-litre full hybrid delivering 160hp, 0–62mph in 8.5seconds, and over 72mpg, alongside a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox. The new hybrid is the most efficient yet in Renault’s line-up, producing just 89g/km of CO2 and running in electric mode for up to 80% of city driving.

The new Renault Clio is expected to go on sale in the UK early in 2027.
