- Audi has revealed the A6 e-tron. First debuted at the Auto Shanghai 2021 show in concept form, Audi is now launching the A6 e-tron as a Sportback and Avant.
Powerful, compact, and highly efficient electric motors and a lithium-ion battery newly developed for the PPE consisting of 12 modules and 180 prismatic cells with a total gross capacity of 100 kWh (94.9 kWh net) ensure a range of over 450 miles (A6 Sportback e-tron) and over 430 miles (A6 Avant e-tron).
Two versions of the A6 e-tron will be available from launch: the A6 Sportback/Avant e-tron performance and the S6 Sportback/Avant e-tron. The A6 e-tron performance models have a system output of up to 367PS (270 kW) and are rear-wheel drive. The Audi A6 e-tron performance accelerates from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 130mph.
The S6 Sportback/Avant e-tron models use quattro all-wheel drive and have a system output of 503PS (370 kW) and up to 550PS (405 kW) with launch control, which enables a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds. The top speed is 149mph. Further models with rear-wheel drive or quattro all-wheel drive will follow at a later date.
The A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron can be ordered in the UK from September as Sportback and Avant versions, with prices starting at £69,990 and £71,700 respectively.
